Anytime, Anywhere Access

• Electronic documents are centrally-managed in a Microsoft SharePoint repository
• Browser-based GIS interface allows users to find and access documents quickly
• Native "draw mode" optimizes server performance and user response time

Document GeoLinking

• Enables documents to be associated with spatial features forming a "GeoLink"
• Linked documents are displayed in SharePoint via a standard "FileList"web part
• List displays document name, author, size, modification date and GeoLink status
• Displays GeoLink status to indicate if a document is currently linked to a feature
• GeoLink is created by selecting document and identifying related map features
• GeoLink can be modified to add or remove features (can also be deleted entirely)
• GIS interface uses color coding to identify features associated with the document
• Supports GeoLinking a SharePoint folder (all documents in folder are GeoLinked)
• Uses role-based security to control access to GeoLinked documents

Basic GIS Mapping

• Map Frame - displays a map containing one or more layers of spatial information
• Pan - ability to navigate within the map image
• Zoom - ability to increase or decrease the magnification of a portion of the map
• Layer control  - ability to filter selection and results on a particular layer
• Select features - ability to select features on the map and visually distinguish them
• Identify - displays the attributes of a feature by clicking the feature on the map
• Legend  - displays legend to identify features using unique symbology
• Labels - ability for user to label map features for easy identification in a map view

• Zoom To - added capabilities support magnification of prescribed feature groups
• Select By - allows selection based on different methods
• "Point and click"(select individual features)
• "Bounding Box"(select multiple features based on user selection)
• "Buffer" (select multiple map features by buffering another feature)
• "Intersection" (select features on one layer that intersect with features on another)
• Drilldown - draw rectangular area on the map to select features on multiple layers

Search and Classification

• Allows map searches and results navigation based on feature attribute values
• Supports "quick" search configuration for commonly-accessed layers and features
• Supports classifying map features enabling users to customize layer symbology
